First XI Soccer

Results: 9–0 Win vs. Crescent; 6 – 1 Win vs. TCS

Scorers: Dunn (4), Humphrey, Shaw, Rajadurai, Assaf, Mortimer; Humphrey (2), Shaw (2), Todorovic, Mortimer

Synopsis: The Blues continued their winning ways with two dominant wins to retain the CISAA League Title. Charlie Dunn stared in the win over a meagre Crescent side with 4 goals in a row- including a 12 minute hat-trick (most likely Crescent’s strong football team took all their athletes). A rare conceded goal against Trinity meant the run of clean-sheets came to an end, but a fluid attack and accurate first-half finishing allowed the Blues to keeping the winning streak alive. Notable performances from the creative Reid Humphrey (IB1) and Serbian maestro Djorjde Todorovic (IB2).

JV Soccer

Results: 8–0 Win vs. York; 7 – 0 Win vs. BVG

Scorers: Richmond (2), Jagdeo (2), Abduragimov, Guzman, Tanner (2); Richmond, Yang, Davidson, Tanner (3), Abduragimov

Synopsis: A big week for the squad, with 15 goals in two games, including 5 from star striker Flynn Tanner, back from injury with all guns blazing. Getting the opportunity to rotate the full 24-man roster, the Blues displayed good build-up play and improved finishing to put away chances created by the inventive Blues’ midfield. A standout week for powerful winger Umid Abduragimov (C, IB2), with 4 assists and 2 goals on the week.

U16A Soccer

Results: 4 – 0 Win vs. Appleby; 2 – 0 Win vs. Crescent

Scorers: Brown, Kawale, Kim, Brown; Rosen, Kawale

Synopsis: Two from two on the week after two draws in a row puts the Blues’ into third place in the standings. A big match against the surprising division leaders RSGC today will see a heavy-weight clash in the Blues’ biggest match of the season. The squad’s defence has held firm, conceding just 4 goals on the season.

U14 Soccer

Results: 1 – 0 Win vs. Crescent; 5 –1 Win vs. HSC; 1 – 4 Loss vs. SAC

Scorers: Kim; Lo, Lawrence (2), Ashebir, Del Valle; Watt

Synopsis: A busy week for the Blues saw them go 10 points clear at the top of the standings, with wins against Crescent and Hillfield. However, they suffered their first loss of the year at the hands of the vexatious SAC. Strong performances by winger Connor Grant (Y1), Chris Adolphe (Y1) and some big saves from keeper Aidan Diab (Y1).

Varsity Volleyball

Results: 2 – 3 Loss vs. Crescent; 3 – 0 Win vs. RSGC

Synopsis: Crescent finally got a win over UCC in something, but not without the Blues putting up an admirable fight– narrowly losing the final set by 3 points. It was a different story against RSGC, with a sweeping victory powered by spot-on serving by Nicholas Adolphe (IB1) and dependable setting from Elliott McDermott (FY).

U16 Volleyball

Results: 3 –1 Win vs. Crescent; 3 – 0 Win vs. HSC

Synopsis: The Blues got back on track with their first two league wins of the season to complement a respectable quarter-final finish at the Uxbridge tournament. Standout performances from the imposing Dylan Zhao (Y2) and libero Kevin Berghuis (Y2).

U14 Volleyball

Results: 3 – 1 Win vs. RSGC; 3 – 2 Win vs. Crescent; 3 – 0 Win vs. HSC

Synopsis: With half their regular season games in one week, the Blues won all three- clinching second place in the standings. Crescent’s teams just couldn’t catch a break this week, and the squad showed great composure to come back from a set down. After beating a winless RSGC side and sweeping Hillfield off their plateau, the Blues ended the season with an impressive 6 –1 record.

Varsity Football

Result: 35 – 17 Win vs. SMC

Scorers: Tucker (2), Parsons, Clayton, Wilson

Synopsis: Giving up a TD early, the Blues were on the back-foot for the better part of the first quarter. With the momentum turning, UCC’s dominant defence shut up shop, not allowing any points in the second half. This gave the dynamic Blues’ offence the perfect platform to execute- and led by the guiding arm of Aidan Power (C, IB2), they did just that. A massive performance from Rasheed Tucker (FY), who was named as the official ‘player of the game’ and benefited from the big showing by the big men of the O-Line. Strong performances from Clayton Jeffrey (C, IB2), James White (IB2), Josh Archibald, (IB1), Gabriel Boucher (IB2) and Sevion DaCosta (IB1).

JV Football

Result: 7 – 54 Loss vs. SMC

Scorer: Denis Khavin

Synopsis: The ‘Kerry-Blues’ clearly showed where their priorities lie, with their JV team limiting UCC to just the one score by Dennis Khavin (FY). The Blues are now 1-3 on the year with a rematch against SMC and a game against SAC in the cards.
