Yuan Kong
Two-year veteran Yuan Kong from Varsity Swimming had a spectacular showcasing at the OFSAA championship swim meet before the break. He achieved remarkable results in three separate events; in the 200m freestyle he placed bronze, in the 100m freestyle he placed 13th and in the 4x100m freestyle relay he helped his team secure a 5th place finish. Congratulations Yuan on another terrific season, best of wishes for your continued education next year at the University of Pennsylvania!
Darwin Jimal
This past weekend the Varsity Track team competed in the 42nd annual John Rowland Games in Etobicoke. A number of our athletes achieved great results, but the one worth recognition for this week is Darwin Jimal. Darwin placed silver in a heated 100m hurdle timed final. The John Rowland Games are amongst the most competitive GTA meets and is a good indicator of how an athlete will perform at the regional qualifiers for OFSAA. Best of luck to Darwin and the rest of the track team for the remainder of their promising season.
