I wrote this song to try to increase awareness of certain problems that I saw in our society that really bothered me. The first verse focusses on relationships between people here in North America. It discusses unhappiness and the selfishness many people display each and every day. It then shifts its focus towards highlighting how some of our businesses exploit children in the third world. The second verse addresses the issue of child soldiers and the fragility of children in war-torn environments. It also discusses how many of us do not take action to fix these very serious problems.
