What it’s about?

African-German musicians in the second world war.

What did you like about it?

It’s a little known story, with a great depiction of the making of jazz and of African-
German culture

Would they recommend it?

Yes. It was an unusual story compellingly told by a young Canadian female writer who
had definitely done her research.
