Since December 2024, Bags to Beds has involved nearly 100 students and made 13 sleeping mats from over 10,000 plastic bags. At Bags to Beds, they transform plastic bags into durable sleeping mats for people without shelter, addressing both homelessness and plastic waste.
Each mat the club helps create will provide warmth and comfort to someone living on the streets of the GTA while diverting over 750 plastic bags from landfills. Bags for Beds has made a tangible difference in our community, one mat at a time.
