Over the past weekend, Toronto once again became Canada’s focal point for contemporary art with the recent Art Toronto 2024. This year’s Art Toronto fair celebrated 25 years, showcasing more than 100 galleries at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The event had a blend of contemporary and modern artworks, including installations, sculptures, and digital art, giving visitors a well-rounded view of today’s art scene.

This year’s Art Toronto highlighted themes of identity and culture through unique pieces like Sami Tsang’s ceramics and Eddy Firmin’s Confessional.
To me, this fair shows how art can communicate big ideas and open conversations about personal and cultural experiences. It’s also a chance to see how creativity can influence and inspire a community, encouraging young people to explore and appreciate diverse perspectives through art.
