Varsity Soccer

Result: 2 – 0 Win vs. AC

Scorers: Kal Shaw, Olivier Mugabo

Synopsis: Struggling to find the net early on, the Blues’ defence held firm, with thetwo goals enough to take the 3 points. A notable performance in defence from Carter Jan (IB1).

JV Soccer

Result: 3 – 1 Win vs. CPC

Scorers: Joey Richmond, Gabriel Birman, Kimathi Muiriri

Synopsis: Though not extremely convincing, the Blues scored three unanswered goals after going down a goal early to take a valuable 3 points. Notable performances from the stalwart Cam Sheehy (IB1) and wily Alberto Londono (IB2).

U16A Soccer

Result: 5 – 0 Win vs. RC

Scorers: Conrad Mahony (2), Hilli Goldhar (2), Liam Dunn

Synopsis: The Blues dominated in convincing fashion, with a brilliant all-round performance. A notable performance in defence by Ben Broer (Y2).

U16B Soccer

Result: 0 – 5 Loss vs. DLS

Synopsis: The Blues were outmatched in their first league match of the season, falling to a strong De La Salle ‘A’ outfit who proved too dominant.

U14 Soccer

Result: 3 – 1 Win vs HSC

Scorers: Amen Ashebir, Ethan Williams, Connor Grant

Synopsis: Connor Grant (Y1) had a hand (or rather foot) in all the goals, providing two assists off corner kicks, while scoring one himself. A notable performance in net from keeper Aidan Diab (Y1)

Varsity Volleyball

Result: 3 – 0 Win vs. AC; Quarter-Final Loss at Etobicoke College Tournament

Synopsis: Despite an earlier than hoped for exit at the Etobicoke College tournament (non-league), the Blues’ took their frustration out even farther west, dominating Appleby in straight sets. Notable performances from ‘libero’ Theo Christakis (IB2) and Jake Bradshaw (C, IB2).

U16 Volleyball

Result: 2 – 3 Loss vs. AC

Synopsis: In a closely contested match that went all the way, the Blues’ were unable to close out the deal, falling to a gritty Appleby side. Notable performances from Dylan Zhao (Y2) and Ty Greenburg (FY).

Varsity Football

Result: 30 – 33 Loss vs. TCS

Scorers: Hunter Okabasu (2), Jordan Rao, Clayton Jeffrey

Synopsis: Aidan Power continued his top form, throwing four touchdowns and converting them himself. However, a slew of penalties frustrated the Blues’ offence, and with only the one touchdown in the second half, fell to Trinity’s comeback. Notable performances on both sides of the ball from Clayton Jeffrey (C, IB2), and from Sam Beqaj (IB2) on defence.

JV Football

Result: 21 – 49 Loss vs. TCS

Scorers: Adam Menikefs, Andrew Spiers, Denis Khavin

Synopsis: A big first half from Trinity, including a ‘pick six’ and a kick-return touchdown, meant that the strong second half from the Blues wasn’t enough to take the victory. Jack Prince (FY) threw for three touchdowns. Notable performances from running back Michael Kagan (FY), Ryan Grant (Y2) and Joe Hill (FY).

Cross Country

Result: Midget- 2nd Place

Notable Performances: Will McCreadie, Shaan Hooey, James Griffith, Henry Gage

Rowing

Result: 2nd Place Finish (1st Canadian)

Synopsis: Once again, the Varsity 4+ had an impressive performance, finishing as the first Canadian boat, only 1.3 seconds behind the overall winners, at the Head of the Genesee in Rochetor, New York.
